Caroline Gilchrist
Caroline is currently articling with Service Law firm. Caroline graduated with a Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2011 where she studied a diverse array of subjects. She has developed a strong interest in business law, particularly the law of taxation in Canada. During her time at Osgoode, she was involved with Pro Bono Students Canada where she served as an advocate for the needs of clients with the Family Law Project and contributed to contemporary research in disability law with ARCH. She also volunteered as duty counsel for Osgoode's Community and Legal Aid Services Programme.
Caroline has close ties to Simcoe County; her ancestry going back over a century in the region. As of August 1, 2011, Caroline will be a member of the Simcoe County Young Professionals Association. She is fluent in American Sign Language and will be contributing some of her time at the Bob Rumball Centre for the Deaf loccated in Barrie.
Prior to Osgoode, Caroline graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.
Caroline has been a student member of the Ontario and Canadian Bar Associations since 2008 and will be called to the bar in 2012.
